May Is Club Leadership Election Month

May is more than a month on the calendar—it is one of the most important moments in your club’s future.

This is the season when District 44 clubs prepare to elect the leaders who will help shape the next Toastmasters year. Club officer elections are where vision becomes action, where members step forward, and where tomorrow’s club success begins.

Strong clubs do not happen by chance. They are built by leaders who are willing to serve, grow, and help others rise.

Why Club Elections Matter
• Build your club’s leadership pipeline
• Strengthen member experience and retention
• Ensure a smooth transition into the new Toastmasters year
• Create opportunities for personal and professional growth
• Position your club for Distinguished success

Every Club Needs Leaders Ready to Serve
Key officer roles include:
• President
• Vice President Education
• Vice President Membership
• Vice President Public Relations
• Secretary
• Treasurer
• Sergeant at Arms

Whether you are stepping into leadership for the first time or preparing to mentor the next generation, this is your opportunity to help Build the Bridge to what’s next.

District 44 Challenge:
Do not just fill roles—identify, empower, and prepare leaders who will move your club forward.

Action Steps for Clubs

  1. Schedule your club officer elections in May
  2. Identify and encourage potential leaders now
  3. Discuss succession planning with your current executive team
  4. Host your club officer elections
  5. Submit your club officer list to Toastmasters
  6. Prepare incoming officers for Club Officer Training

Important Deadline:
To ensure your club receives proper credit toward the 2026–2027 Distinguished Club Program (DCP), your newly elected officer list must be submitted to Toastmasters International no later than June 30, 2026. Timely submission helps secure your club’s recognition, supports a smooth leadership transition, and sets your team up for success from day one.

Leadership in Toastmasters is not just about holding a title—it is about creating impact.

Elect. Submit. Prepare. Lead.

District 44 is counting on clubs to build strong foundations today for an even stronger tomorrow.
