Dear District 44 Toastmasters,
As District Director, I am excited about the communication and leadership skills you are developing within your club. I would be even more excited to see you take your skills to the next level. As such, I am delighted to extend an offer to you to submit your nomination to serve as a District Leader on the 2018-19 District Executive Committee.
As a District Leader, you will be afforded opportunities to practice skills that will enhance your ability to communicate and work with a diverse group of clubs and members. You will also have an opportunity to improve your effectiveness as a leader by broadening your awareness of the Toastmasters program and inspiring others to succeed. At the end of your 12-month term, you will receive credit for your service as a District Leader which can be used toward your Advanced Leader Silver award.
Below is a list of the elected and appointed roles for the next term. To gain an understanding of each role please review the District Leader Qualifications and Responsibilities and the District Leader Competencies. If you wish to have your nomination considered (which is common) or if you wish to nominate someone else, please complete the District Leader Nominating Form.
All candidates, both elected and appointed, must also complete a Candidate Application and an Officer Agreement and Release Form. All three forms must be submitted to the District Leadership Committee Chair, Vicki Noethling, DTM, IPDD at firstname.lastname@example.org by December 15, 2017.

Candidates seeking an elected position will be interviewed by the District Leadership Committee (DLC). Interviews will take place February 10, 2018 at the Smyrna Community Center, Smyrna, GA. The DLC Chair will contact you to schedule an interview. Elections for the 2018-19 term will be held May 5, 2018 at the District Council Meeting at the Atlanta Marriott Alpharetta hotel (time to be announced). All appointed roles will be determined by the District Director-Elect. The 2018-19 term will begin July 1, 2018 and end June 30, 2019.
Additional opportunities are available to serve as 2018-19 District committee chairs and members which will be announced in February 2018.
